KEVIN M. SOPER

Kevin graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1985 where he was an associate editor of the Law Review.  Prior to attending law school and in fact, while at law school, Kevin was employed as an educator with the Baltimore County Public Schools. In 1987, Kevin joined the Baltimore law firm of Semmes, Bowen and Semmes, and became a partner there in 1996.  Thereafter, in September of 2001, Kevin and five of his litigation partners at Semmes left that firm to form a new association, Moore & Jackson, LLC.  Kevin served as a member of that firm until September of 2016 at which time he separated from Moore & Jackson to form his own firm, The Law Offices of Kevin M. Soper, LLC.  

Kevin has tried hundreds of cases for clients in most jurisdictions in the State of Maryland and has represented clients in the Superior Court for the District of Columbia and in Delaware courts as well.  Kevin was admitted to the bar in the State of Maryland in January of 1986, to the United States District Court for the District of Maryland in 1986 and to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit in 2001. 

Kevin is a life-long resident of Baltimore County and currently resides in Lutherville with his wife of 43 years, Elizabeth.  Kevin and Elizabeth have three grown children, one of whom, Christopher, works with Kevin as an attorney.  Kevin and Elizabeth have five grandchildren.

MEG MARIS

Meg has worked with Kevin Soper since 1991 when she moved from the downtown office of Semmes, Bowen & Semmes to their Towson office. Today, as an administrative assistant she wears many hats. She has numerous secretarial duties and occasionally paralegal work. She keeps up to date records in Time Slips, entering new and changes to clients files, preparing time and expense bills, noting payments.  In addition, she prepares office payroll and makes the necessary contributions, changes, etc.  She has been working in the legal profession for 50 years since graduating from Villa Julie College.  She states, "It is a pleasure working with Kevin and Christopher Soper; they are great people to work with".
